Day trip

Currently the weather is great so I thought id make the most of it. Decided to walk a local trail and then cut up onto a mountain and find my own way back. View was great but the camera battery ran out before I reached the peak of the mountain.

Here are the few pictures i managed to take..

Pathfinder cook kit and crusader mess tin with hexamine

Today I used the Pathfinder cook kit and crusader mess tin with hexamine.

The pathfinder bottle and cup have been tested many times now and its becoming a strong part of my kit, it performed excellently with the crusader mess tin too which is another great bit of kit.

I highly recommend this cook kit to anyone looking for a compact versatile kit!

EDC multitools

Here are my current Every Day Carry Multitools.

What i choose between:
Swiss Army  Knife Alox Farmer
Leatherman Squirt PS4
Leatherman Charge

All the above tools are excellent. I have owned them all around 5 months so will not be writing a review as they are relatively new to me but just thought I would share, I have had no problems with any of the tools and they all perform excellently.

Tarp cordage kit

Here is my cordage kit for setting up any of my tarps.

The kit is very basic as you can see. All is stored in a dry bag and inside the bag is a 8 meter ridge line, 4 tie outs around 2 meters long with carabiners attached and two premade prussic loops in thinner paracord for a  better bite on the ridgeline also with carabiners attached for easy assemble and disassemble.

Pathfinder bottle and cup with Evernew titanium stove

Just though I would share my Pathfinder bottle and cup with stove ring being used with the Evernew titanium meths stove.

The Pathfinder bottle and cup with stove ring is an excellent cook kit which takes up no more room than the bottle alone so i'm putting a little work in to perfect it.
I have also ordered the Evernew trivet for the cup or bottle to be used without the stove ring and cut down Tent pegs. The tent pegs and stove ring will still be carried as they take up no room and are great with hexamine or on the fire coals.

Here are a few pictures of it in action

A pot can also be placed directly on the stove for a simmer type set-up.

This cooki kit is great for hiking and walking as it is lightweight but is just as great for bushcraft practice. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for reading.
